It was 1659, the Tokugawa Shogunate Era. Kanou Jirou Taisho Sotoku, who was active as a lumber dealer, expanded his business to the sake brewing industry, which was the leading manufacturing industry at that time, and established a brewery on the premises of his main building and started the brewing industry in earnest. Thus began the more than 360-year history of Kiku-Masamune. The mission of Kiku-Masamune is to contribute to the prosperity of a healthy life based on the “fermentation technology” that we have cultivated over the years. Kiku-Masamune’s vision: 1. Delicious sake in Japan and around the world. 2. Create value through tradition and innovation. Most important is to cherish people who dare to challenge.
