Nissin created the world’s first instant ramen, Chicken Soup Ramen, invented by Momofuku Ando in 1958. The chicken broth ramen, which can be served after two minutes in hot water, instantly acquired the nickname ‘magic ramen’ and became a hot product as soon as it was launched. Momofuku Ando also invented the world’s first cup noodles in 1971. In 2005, at the age of 94, he invented ‘Space Ramen,’ the world’s first ramen able to be consumed in outer space.
Even at 96, Momofuku Ando continued his creative thinking and perseverance, and Nissin continued his legacy.
